The Role:
To deliver Logistics and Infrastructure (L&I) new business development, Project Execution and Operations Readiness services and activities to Global Project teams across the complete project lifecycle according to agreed schedules and in line with Global standards and best practices.

To contribute to development and maintenance of L&I and Operations Readiness L&I standards, practices and tools within the Global Centre of Excellence, and participate in a variety of reviews, peer assists and assurance activities across global projects.

Snr Delivery Consultant L&I is accountable to:

Deliver Logistics and Infrastructure (L&I) for New Ventures, Wells and Project Execution and Operations Readiness related advice and activities within a delivery program or service delivery from beginning to end; including customer and stakeholder management, scope definition, program development, planning, organization, resources, execution, assurance, close out and capturing of lessons learned, as a subject matter expert.
Lead the delivery of L&I related activities as part of a Project / Program delivery
Lead / significantly contribute to technology development adding value to the business.
Customer engagement at project, asset and OU leadership level, advising and coaching management teams, project, operations, engineering and technical managers on L&I matters.
Gives L&I expert advice to customers; Advises at departmental level.
Principal Technical Expert / Subject Matter Expert in own skill area and fulfill a Logistics TA-2/3 role to verify that the OE and OR processes and related Minimum Standards & Global Processes are applied

The magnitude and diversity of L&I Consultants portfolio will be dependent on: the size, nature / complexity (e.g. onshore / arctic ice/ deepwater / subsea/ delta/swamp / beach/dessert/jungle ; green / brown field / H2S /CO2 etc.) and all phases of the petroleum life cycle and the specialist skills of the incumbent.

The incumbent will need to:
- Have a demonstrable commitment to HSE and quality.
- Provide technical advice and develop optimized logistics solutions for varied stakeholders.
- Have delivery focus, responsiveness and flexibility without compromising key objectives
- Build strong credibility and relationships / Interface effectively and remotely with diverse stakeholders
- develop their Project Execution / Operations Readiness skills to be recognized by clients such as Project Management Teams and the Operator Asset/Operations Management Teams as a seasoned and capable professional that can deliver value whilst assisting and guiding the key stakeholders, within or outside Shell.
- be a developed team player and become a community member of the OEX L&I and Centre of Excellence Community ; contribute and participate in cross learning
- Champion new technology and new operating concepts
- Act as a mentor and coach as required
Good communicator both written , spoken and listening skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A logistics generalist rather than a specialist, with a high level of interpersonal skills, ability to think strategically, manage multiple interfaces and focus on external aspects.

Qualifications: Logistics / engineering degree or equivalent

Experience: Minimum 10 years experience in Logistics operations, Project execution, CP management, HSE and /or supply base management.
Overall experience with a wide range of Upstream project lifecycle (philosophy and strategy development, Infrastructure design, FEED, detailed design, C&P, air, marine, land transport, waste operations etc) is preferred.
Exposure to both onshore and offshore operations and / or project experience is an advantage, as is experience in working in remote field locations
