Our Client is an independent Australian oil and gas company playing a key role in supplying energy to our region.

They are one of the world’s leading producers of liquefied natural gas, helping meet the demands for cleaner energy from Japan, China, Korea and other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

The Role:
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join this already successful team. In this role you will be responsible for optimizing equipment availability for service and integrity through maintenance analysis and assures CMMS technical object & maintenance plan data integrity.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ensure consistency of plant technical objects and maintenance plan master data is consistent with our clients and facility specific standards
• Help ensure all maintainable items are categorised and have a defined maintenance strategy
• Select the appropriate action and the frequency or condition that is required to maintain a facility as ‘evergreen’ until firm abandonment plans have been approved – maintenance strategies
• Ensure X1’s relating to technical objects and maintenance plans changes or additions are valid and the data is correct
• Deliver the Maintenance Reference Plan
• Knowledge of relevant facility specific standards, production process and relevant Standards
• Liaise with procedure and standards custodians to implement changes as required
• Analyse work management performance and identify opportunities to seek improvement to;
o Set maintenance direction
o Understand each facility priorities
• Get right recurring maintenance & ensure it gets done to;
o Reduce corrective maintenance
o Optimise & reduce recurring maintenance
• Optimisation of planned maintenance to improve efficiency, reduce costs & risk
• Provide strategic maintenance input & solutions to facility engineering
• Attend meetings as required & communicate findings along with recommended solutions
• Ensure commonality across assets with regards to strategic maintenance
• Identify & implement best practise as required
• Create business cases for improvements and present improvement opportunities to MPF and PMG as required
• Provide assurance & implementation of maintenance standards, processes & KPI’s
• Build a maintenance engineering improvement culture within the organisation

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following;

• Extensive years in oil and gas offshore or onshore, in a maintenance position
• Several years in a Maintenance Team Leader, Activity Coordinator or supervisory position
• Knowledgeable in the application of maintenance management processes, principles, techniques and standards
• Skilled in root cause analysis methods
• Skilled in defect identification and elimination methods
• Knowledgeable in defining and implementing change, both organisationally and technically
• Knowledgeable in technical integrity management practices and integration of maintenance and reliability engineering
• Advanced knowledge of rotating equipment and turbo machinery maintenance requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of project management and SAP PM
