The Company:
Our client is UK energy company focused on bringing together experts to recover natural resources - acutely aware of the responsibilities this brings, particularly with regard to safety, environmental protection and working with local communities.

The Role:
The basic purpose of the role is to provide day to day business partnering support to operational functions, including but not limited to: Budgeting, Forecasting and Monthly management reporting.

Key responsibilities include:
- Build strong relationships with key functional budget holders
- Create and maintain monthly functional/budget holder reporting templates, process and timings. Working with business partners to deliver approved budgets for the organisation.
- Provide analysis and insight to support budget holders in delivering against annual cost targets
- Management of time reporting and cost allocation process
- Delivery of month end close (accruals, TB review)
- Prepare consolidated management reports
- Work with the Operations Financial Controller to consolidate budgets and present to senior management
- Produce and issue monthly billings, reports and issue resolution

On an ad-hoc basis the person is expected to:
- Assist with the requirements for all external audits
- Act a primary cover for Management Accountant (AP, Cash, Banking)
- Assist with Company Secretarial matters including management of the company's share register

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Accounting qualifications required (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) with at least 2 to 4 years of post qualification experience.
Strong Business Partnership skills and experience required
Strong Microsoft Excel skill required
Accounts department (AP/AR) experience
Sage experience preferred
