The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
•Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the Company‘s policies and procedures,
•Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times
•Proactive role to identify and close hazards on workplace and worksite
•Regular attendance of contractors or subcontractors Tool Box meetings
•Assist with Job Safety Analysis (Development if necessary or requested)
•Participate in JSA reviews when necessary.
•Ensure the packages design minimizes the impact on the environment in line with project requirements.
•Advise the management, and direct the SPS team and Contractors on materials and welding aspects of design, manufacture and construction, of the SPS package to meet project requirements.
•Having good understanding/knowledge of all international and national codes and engineering practices for the specification and selection of metallic/non-metallic materials and the welding / NDE of these materials for the various subsea equipment applications.
•Ensure that project specifications are complied with and deviations are substantiated in line with project procedures
•Be knowledgeable on aspects of material and welding applicable to subsea equipment.
•Prepare technical reports and presentations as required.
•During EPFS Contract execution, ensure project deliverables and activities associated are achieved in accordance with the project milestone dates, budget, quality and technical requirements of the Contract and ensure smooth transition and continuity between the different phases of the project.
•Report progress of the work in a timely manner.
•Continuous monitoring of the risk associated within material and welding discipline
•Assist in identifying new project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required.
•Work in close relation with contractors in order to minimize risks to the project.
•Liaise with Contractor personnel to align Contractor on project drivers, priorities of work and project milestone dates.
•Provide guidance, priorities and input into Contractor strategies / procedures and specifications for design, procurement, manufacturing and fabrication of subsea equipment.
•Review, comment and coordinate company discipline on Contractor / Supplier documentation in a timely manner.
•Investigate for solutions where defects are found and repairs shall be performed
•Liaise with other Discipline Package Engineers and with QAQC team members
•Liaise with counterparts (URF / GEP) within the company to ensure an similar approach for this discipline and particularly in the areas of material selection where commonality is required.
•Work collaboratively within the company organization to achieve alignment on strategies and documentation required to achieve objectives
•Work collaboratively with EPFS Contractor to achieve alignment on strategies and documentation required to achieve objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree in Materials engineering and membership of Institute Soudure or UK Welding Institute
•preferably NDE certification Level 2
•High awareness of material, welding and NDE in design and construction
•Excellent communication / written skills and ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
•Experience as materials / welding engineer
