The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be based on the Upstream team for a large LNG project.

The role is responsible for the mechanical packages engineered in Perth on the platform including Teg regeneration, MEG regeneration, Heavy Wall Pressure Vessels and various utility packages.

The position is part of a multi-functional owner’s team overseeing the detail design and EPCI contractor.

The role will progress the engineering to completion of detailed design, oversee the procurement and testing of the equipment, ensuring an optimum, fit-for-purpose design meeting all functional requirements for safety, environment, layouts, operability, regulatory / permitting, etc.

It will also assist in project execution planning for the packaged equipment along with the mechanical and piping design and construction group to develop a fit for purpose design and complimentary installation plans.

It will take a lead role in directing the activities of Detail Design contractors and vendor suppliers for packaged equipment design, specifications and procurement. Review design engineering and vendor deliverables ensuring they are of consistently high quality; recommendations are technically sound and cost effective.

Ensure the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the project schedule.

Development of fit-for-purpose specifications for packaged equipment not specified during FEED.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Previous strong experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for LNG projects
Degree or equivalent
Extensive experience in Offshore Engineering
Package engineering and Drawing review experience
