The Company:
Our Client is a leading international provider of solutions to the oil & gas processing and production industry, with a diverse customer portfolio including many of the world’s leading integrated, independent and national oil & gas companies.
The group delivers services through seven business units: Engineering & Construction, Engineering & Construction Ventures, Engineering Services, Offshore Engineering & Operations, Training, Production Solutions and Energy Developments.

The Role:
A. Knowledge and Understanding of Engineering Principles
(Specialist Discipline Skills Required for Contract)
• Able to work unsupervised specifying, technical evaluation and acceptance testing of mechanical equipment supplied by UK and international manufacturers modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including but not limited to:
- Static equipment - pressure vessels, columns, tanks, filters and heat exchangers.
- Rotating equipment – turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, expanders and blowers.
- Packaged equipment – power generation, gas dehydration, crude oil treatment, produced water handling and utility systems.
- Other associated equipment with the Oil and Gas industry.

B. Practical Application of Engineering Skills to Solve Engineering Problems
• Assist with resolving technical queries and ensure the resolution is satisfactory and ensure that all design changes are captured by the change control process

• To be able to conduct site surveys

• To be able to produce calculations required and participate in design reviews and check discipline documents also to check interdisciplinary documents where necessary

• Producing documentation deliverables for inclusion in workpacks, and or, design books on time to meet project deadlines for assigned packages and scopes of work

C. Technical and Commercial Leadership
• Supervision of other discipline engineers and designers within the scope of work, work is broadly determined by the Lead or Principal Engineer where informed guidance is available; to be able to demonstrate competence.

• Responsible for delivery as part of the project team for achieving the target and completion of engineering documentation within the budget and schedule; ensuring that all engineering work is carried out in accordance with Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan.

• Preparation of engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary.

• Identification of increase or reduction in scope and assist in raising the necessary support documents for Project Control Purposes.

D. Communication Skills
• Liaise with other disciplines in the execution of the work.

• Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations.

• Computer literate in Microsoft packages and required engineering software packages.

• Effective communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with onshore and offshore personnel at all levels.

E. Professionalism
• Comply with relevant codes of conduct.

• Provide Discipline Engineering Support to satisfy the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards are not compromised by any Discipline Engineering Activities.

• Conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards.

• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards.

• Compliance with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate.

• Operate and act responsibly, taking into account of the need to progress environmental, social and economic outcomes simultaneously.

• Demonstrate commitment to support continuing professional development necessary to maintain and enhance competence in area of practice.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Highest Qualifications / Lowest Experience
• Holds an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline and is working towards Chartered Engineer with sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as possessing a good working knowledge of their respective discipline. Some experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.

Lowest Qualifications / Highest Experience
• Holds an HND in a relevant engineering discipline with sufficient post-qualification experience to be considered as possessing a strong working knowledge of their respective discipline. A sufficient level of experience should be in a relevant theatre of operation.
