The Role:
• Review of specifications and data sheets of mechanical static equipment.
• Review Supplier’s technical documentation and check technical compliance to project specifications and standards.
• Respond to Supplier’s technical queries raised within the appropriate cycle.
• Review all concession and deviation requests from Supplier and make appropriate recommendations.
• Support Procurement and Construction activities related to Greenfield work area.
• Assist Mechanical Technical Authority in all areas related to static equipment mechanical engineering, especially pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, fired heaters and packages.
• Maintaining effective relationships with:
- Engineering Manager
- Project Engineers
- Supplier Engineers
- Project Managers
- Professional and regulatory bodies etc.
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineering preferred.
• Mechanical engineering experience, specifically on pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, fired heaters and packages.
• Significant design experience on multi-discipline oil and gas industry projects, particularly in power generation and utilities
• An excellent track record of delivering project safety and risk scope in terms of priorities and schedule requirements
• A full range of effective communication skills, including
• Persuasive language skills
• Presentation methods to maintain effective relations within the project teams
• Effective and clear report writing
• Excellent time management skills
• Able to operate in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
• Further qualifications are desirable

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Previous onshore upstream project experience a distinct advantage
• Operator or PMC background
