Senior Mechanical Technician

The Senior Mechanical Technician assists the Mechanical Maintenance Management with the execution of all maintenance work activities associated with the Mechanical Rotating and Fixed Equipment located in the LNG facilities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation. Fully participate in the training, mentoring and development of the Mechanical Technicians under his assignment.
To effectively perform the Mechanical Maintenance activities the Senior Mechanical Technician will:
Be actively involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all Mechanical Rotating and Fixed Equipment in the LNG Plant;
Use CMMS SAP PM System to manage the maintenance work execution, which includes PM’s, PdM’s, Corrective Maintenance,
Preservation, Shutdown Work and Equipment Repair or Replacement by following the correct prioritization guidelines.
Ensure good quality of data, availability of Equipment Spares, PM’s, PdM’s Procedures in SAP and develop as required.
Carry out fault finding and repair work of equipment and machinery and diagnose mechanical system malfunctions. Serve as a specialist on pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of complex or critical mechanical systems and equipment.
Compile Mechanical Equipment and Systems status report and submit to Management. Maintain effective communication with Maintenance Management in the course of task execution.
Identify and ensure availability of Resources, Spare Parts, Consumables, Man Power, then Plan, Schedule and Execute Work based on the availability of Resources.
Demonstrate high commitment, diligent and proactively identify and address maintenance and HES issues, develop corrective actions to successful close those issues. Compliance with HES / HR Policies, Procedures and applicable Industry Standards.
Participate and actively involved in the HES Processes, and maintenance reliability improvement initiatives.
Report equipment and required documentation changes in line with MOC procedures; Raise MOC Requests, Review MOC’s for newchanges to guarantee, safety, integrity and effective operation and reliability.
Develop quality Work Packages, with JHA’s, Isolations, Work Permits, Bypass Certificates, and Job Plans and submit for approval. Participates in equipment safe isolations to ensure the job will be done safely and incident and injury free.
Participate and actively support company programs such as Behaviour Based Safety, Near Miss Reporting, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Provide Guidance, Training, Mentoring and Career Development opportunities to Angolan Technicians.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years maintenance Technician on a major onshore Hydrocarbon Installation
Demonstrated leadership responsibility
Familiar with major Fixed and Rotating Equipment in the LNG and onshore gas processing Industries
Diploma is required, Bachelor degree is preferred - Mechanical/Marine Engineering.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Advanced, able to work independently in rotating Equip.
Advanced in equipment alignment.
Experienced in fixed equipment.
Experienced in vibration monitoring.
Experienced in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Read/Write in Language (English)
Language: English (fluent), Portuguese (preferred)
