The Role:
Job Description:

This role is to primarily provide operational support services for Network Services, within EMEA and globally as an integral part of the Global Network Services group.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a high degree of competency and experience with networking and telecoms in an enterprise environment and as such, will be responsible for 3rd line support of the Enterprise Network including complex application issues.
Specific knowledge of Riverbed technologies, Cisco LAN, WAN, Wireless and Voice products are essential, as is previous experience delivering complex telecom solutions to customers.
Once familiar with the processes the incumbent will be required to provide IT On-Call duties to business critical applications and associated infrastructure as part of a 24x7 multi-person rota.

Key Deliverables:

1.To work with the Supervisor, Network Services E&P UK to support Network Operations for the EMEA region and the global FTS when required.
2.To work with the Supervisor, Network Services E&P UK to deliver Network Services requirements for businesses capital projects.
3.Liaise with other members of the Global Network Services team, with the aim of exchanging knowledge, experience and ideas.
4.Evolve and improve network performance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge, Experience and Attributes:

a)Demonstrate a high degree of competency and experience in enterprise networking.
b)Application installation troubleshooting in LAN and WAN environments.
c)Installation and support of Cisco routers, switches and Wireless in large enterprises including 2900, 3750, 3900, 4500X, Nexus 2000/5000/7000, ASA, WLC
d)Installation and support of Cisco VoIP, and IP Telephony in large enterprises including CCM, UCS, FXS, FXO, SIP, H323 and MGCP
e)Demonstrate a strong understanding of WAN Networking Technologies, in particular EIGRP, BGP, VPN, QoS, TCP Acceleration
f)Customer focused and strong communication skills.
g)Team player that can work with minimal supervision.
h)Ability to draw on the expertise of the team to deliver the best solutions.
i)Ability to deliver promises to agreed deadlines.
j)Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
k)Individual must be willing to travel, including offshore.
