The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Senior NVH Engineer from an automotive background with a thorough understanding of parts design, to influence and support current and future projects, whilst managing and developing people with the group. You will demonstrate a real passion and enthusiasm for NVH and the automotive industry, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering their area of specialism.

• Responsible for Driveline NVH attribute development to deliver project whole vehicle acoustic attribute performance (Transmission, driveshafts, axles and their mountings).
• Provide NVH knowledge and direction in the design and development of component, system and whole vehicle acoustic specifications to ensure achievement of product acoustic targets.
• Provide objective measurement/analysis and subjective assessment of whole vehicle performance.
• Provide technical leadership in acoustic concern investigation and resolution.
• Generation and implementation of development plans to deliver project requirements.
• Definition of whole vehicle acoustic attribute performance targets derived from subjective assessment and objective measurement.
• Concept guidance at design & package reviews.
• Defining, planning, organising, monitoring and managing own work to meet project objectives for approval by Senior Engineer / Functional Manager.
• Leadership and management of acoustic testing (internal & external) to deliver project and technical development requirements.
• Measurement and analysis of noise and vibration data to identify root cause, countermeasures, design changes to provide robust engineering conclusions and recommendations.
• Definition of specifications and design guidance to other Functional areas to enable the development of components and systems, to achieve the whole vehicle acoustic attribute performance targets

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with a demonstrable background in NVH within the industry. You must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work with other functions around the business.

Consideration will also be given to candidates from outside of the industry
