Our client is the world's largest exploration and production company with operations in over 29 countries. In Australia our client is leading the way in both upstream and downstream oil and gas projects with further development projects in the pipeline.

The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator for a 12 month contract. The Senior Payroll Officer is accountable for the processing and maintenance of employee salaries and benefits.. The Senior Payroll Officer will ultimately be responsible for all facets of the payroll processing function.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

•Accurate data entry for the monthly payroll cycle for all Australia Business Units’
•Managing & reconciling private health insurance
•Maintaining data integrity in SAP, including up-to-date and accurate
•Reconciling CATS time-writing system to ensure all leave types are recorded accurately.
•Coordinating the month end payments & reports
•Maintaining employee files
•Answering employee queries in a timely manner
•Monitoring and releasing address updates and bank account changes via HR Express.
•Working with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliancy as per payroll procedures and SOX.
•Providing updated employee lists to internal parties for the purposes of email distribution lists etc.
•Managing and reconciling Workers Compensation
•Completing surveys as and when they are required
•Assisting with project work that falls within the Compensation & Benefits team
•Providing statistics and reports as and when required
•Coordinating the Year End processes
•Coordinating the Annual Salary changes
•Coordinating the Annual Bonus payrun
•Testing SAP notes and configuration changes as required
•Calculating and processing Expatriate payrun
•Processing superannuation and payroll tax calculations for Inpatriate payments for taxation purposes
•Calculating and payment of Timorese Payrun

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Minimum 5-10 years end to end payroll experience in a large company
•SAP experience highly desirable.
•MS Excel – Intermediate user.
•End of financial year experience (favourable )
•Experienced and methodical individual
