The Company:
Our client is a leading International EPC/M organisation who is engaged in some of the worlds largest and most technically challenging Oil & Gas projects currently under execution.

The Role:
Our client's system is a core service for brownfield operations focused on the delivery of major projects, upgrades, debottlenecking, project portfolio management and support services to sustain our customer’s assets and improve business performance.

We are currently sourcing Senior PDMS Designer to join the North East Office on an Agency hire basis.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client we are undertaking FEED and detail design to support our client for the provision of a new deep water loading jetty (s) in the Gulf region.

The candidates will be Senior PDMS Designers with a substantial, recent and proven track record of large onshore oil and gas, refinery or petrochemical projects and should be able to demonstrate experience, in a similar and relevant senior position, of FEED and detail design work.

Good communication and presentation skills are essential.

The individual must be self-motivated and able to perform all stages of PDMS design and also be competent in the use of PDMS DRAFT, Review, Navisworks and AutoCAD v12.

Core Responsibilities:

Independent layout of process plant and process piping design using PDMS plant design tool with true regard to Safety and in compliance with national and Client Codes & Standards. Moreover, to be innovative in design work with due regard to minimisation of cost whilst maintaining technical integrity.
Ability to integrate structural, piping and equipment PDMS information into a single model.
Efficient interpretation of Clients, Licensors, other design disciplines and suppliers information to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Participation in internal and external design reviews.

Specific Accountabilities to include some or all of:

Efficiently executing PDMS and other CAD design activities as directed by the Project Lead Piping Engineer.
Ensure that the applicable company systems are used, that the relevant QA procedures and standards are followed and that the piping and layout design within his area of responsibility conforms to contract specific requirements and any applicable Client, company, national and international standards, design codes and legislation and raise deviations where necessary.

Complete all work within the estimated manhour budget and in a timely manner to ensure that project deadlines are me, maintaining own work progress (budget and schedule) and identifying scope change where necessary.
Liaise with Clients, Licensors, other design disciplines and suppliers on technical and other piping design matters on a regular basis and in a professional manner
Working accurately and always within the provisions and guidelines of the Company Quality Assurance system or that relevant to the Project.
Safety – responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of academic qualifications
