The Company:
Our client is the largest gas producer in the Netherlands, with annual production of around 50 billion m³. 70 % of gas (37 billion m³) comes from the Groningen field and the rest from various smaller fields elsewhere on the mainland and in the North Sea (15 billion m³).

The Role:
In this role you’ll contribute to managing the technical integrity of about 1800 km pipelines for the Southern North Sea Asset of this clients Upstream International Europe (UIE). As the Pipeline Engineer there will be potential career opportunity within this role to develop into a team leader with direct responsibility of the British and/or Dutch pipelines.• Providing maintenance and inspection plans to assure the technical integrity of the pipelines within defined scope and budget, focused on realising asset specific HSE, integrity, costs and availability performance.

• Developing and implementing best practice inspection, monitoring and emergency response systems, amongst others including intelligent pig inspection, sonar inspection and ROV inspection.
• Advising on matters of specification, design, selection, procurement, application and maintenance and identifying/recognizing potential hazards in own discipline and proposing/implementing solutions to eliminate/minimise risks.
• Supervising pipeline engineering activities in the field when being executed by third parties, when required.
• Managing engineering modifications and projects to the pipeline system.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
With a minimum Bachelor engineering degree, or equivalent (e.g. Mechanical, Pipeline, Subsea engineering) you will have significant experience in pipeline engineering and/or pipeline integrity management and execution.

We will also expect you to:
• Have sound and in-depth knowledge of procedures, standards and laws applicable to engineering, construction and maintenance of pipelines.
• Have relevant experience in the following disciplines: Subsea Engineering, Materials & Corrosion Engineering, Inspection and/or Operations.
• Possess highly effective team building and communication skills.
• Exhibit a strong cross-discipline approach by which all parties are supported and driven to work together seamlessly to deliver optimal solutions.
