The Company:
Our Client is the leading Engineering Services Company in Trinidad & has an immediate need for a Senior Piping Designer needed in Trinidad.

The Role:
􀂃 Following procedures for document control and discipline design, e.g. creation of discipline design deliverables, use and retention of check prints / IDC prints.

􀂃 Checking of discipline design deliverables, discipline design content of IDC prints and vendor documents.

􀂃 Reviewing work processes of discipline design personnel ensuring Company Management Systems and Procedures are followed.

􀂃 Originating discipline design deliverables.

􀂃 Assisting the Discipline Lead Designer or Discipline Function Lead as directed.

􀂃 Producing solutions that are safe, cost effective, fit for purpose and add value to both Company and the client.

􀂃 Ensuring operational and maintenance issues are addressed in the design.

􀂃 Providing discipline design input to procurement and construction activities.

􀂃 Conducting surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow executive of scopes of work.

􀂃 Attending technical meetings if delegated by the Discipline Lead Designer.

􀂃 Attending Design Reviews, HAZOPs, Constructability Assessments etc. if delegated by the Discipline Lead Designer.

􀂃 Communicating with Discipline Engineers and Designers to ensure design integrity and consistency.

􀂃 Liaising with the Discipline Function Lead to identify and implement improvements in discipline working practices.

􀂃 Capturing and communicating lessons learnt to the Discipline Function Lead.

􀂃 Coaching / guiding of discipline design personnel on a majority of discipline applications.

􀂃 Keeping a log of competencies gained through further education, external training and internal / on the job training.

􀂃 Identifying area where skills are lacking and suggest methods of improving.

􀂃 Delivering assigned tasks within man‐hour budget.

􀂃 Delivering assigned tasks to schedule.

􀂃 Identifying increase or reduction in scope of work within own area of responsibility and advising the Discipline Lead Designer accordingly.

􀂃 Identifying areas of concern during the course of any project to the Discipline Lead Designer while proposing necessary corrective action.

􀂃 Identifying discipline design scopes of work if delegated by the Discipline Lead Designer.

􀂃 Preparing of discipline design CTR estimates if delegated by the Discipline Lead Designer.

􀂃 Providing input to project execution plans and schedules if delegated by the Discipline Lead Designer.

􀂃 Developing working relationship with client and supplier / vendor personnel.

􀂃 Communicating with Operations and Maintenance personnel to determine any opportunities where Company could provide solutions to existing problems or for improving the existing practice.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Typically 12 years experience minimum.
Technician Diploma
AutoCad Level II Certificate
Discipline Function Lead
Discipline Lead Engineer

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Main Interfaces
