The Company:
Our client is a major global engineering and EPC company with operations and projects across many sectors to include oil & gas, power, renewable energy and infrastructure projects. To assist further project work in East Europe we are now looking for a Senior Planner to occupy a staff role working within the power business unit.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the folowing activities:

Provide complete integrated project planning services for allocated projects
Prrepare a planning strategy and then develop a database for the Project Execution Plan
Develop project specific level 2 & 3 programmes that clearly identify the project processes and multi-functional project team interfaces.
Assign ownership for all project deliverables and obtain sign on to the level 2 programme by the Project Team.
Assign resources requirements for the execution of each phase of the project in accordance with the project specific budget.
Review all appropriate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site construction level 3 project programmes and review and prepare variance reports for the Project Control Manager and or Project Director’s attention for any variance from agreed level 2 programme.
As required by the Project Control Manager, attend and record for planning update purposes all internal and external project progress reviews.
Issue project programme update reports in accordance with the requirements of the Project Control Manager and the Project Execution Plan.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Familiarity with all the project management tools and techniques.
Detailed knowledge and ability to operate Project Planning packages,
Detailed knowledge of Primavera P6.
Knowledge of the project management, engineering design, procurement, material sourcing, manufacturing, quality control, expediting, shipping and site construction processes for the delivery of major projects.
Familiarity with the project budget, allowance system and financial analysis (earned value analysis) EVA, for overall project planning, control reporting and resource loading.
Communications skills and report writing ability.
Team working aptitude and ability to develop interpersonal relationships
