The Company:
Our client is a global leader in engineering and project management services across nuclear, natural resources, clean energy, water and the environmental sectors.

Having entered in to a joint venture with a local leader in Qatar, our client is now a prominent and growing company in the region offering maintenance, shutdown and workshop services, facilities engineering and international supply access for the petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.

The Role:
PURPOSE:
Responsible for the overall planning, development and monitoring of a medium sized project, or a section of a major project.

KEY OBJECTIVES:
• To establish and maintain the project planning system and procedures.
• Analyse schedule data and advise the lead planner of potential delays.
• Define project / project area needs for cost control in accordance with company procedures and client contractual requirements.
• Define project / project area needs for schedule development, maintenance and monitoring in accordance with company procedures and client contract requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
1. Prepare a Project Baseline Schedule based on an approved scope of work and identified list of deliverables.
2. Develop Baseline Resources Histogram and Progress S-curves as basis of progress.
3. Perform schedule analysis and identify the Critical path & Activities; highlight the same to the project Manager & Project Team.
4. Compile estimates of man-hours prepare by all disciplines and Project Management team and prepare estimated budget based on applicable schedule of Rates.
5. Generate the necessary Reports required by the management and for submission to the client.
6. Continual review and development of procedures and common support processes resulting in improved business effectiveness.
7. Ensure the requisite quality of data is maintained.
8. Oversee the planning element of the change control procedure.
9. Production of risk analysis data if required by the project.
10. To read, understand and implement the Company Safety Policy and the arrangements described in the Company and area Safety Management System documents in relation to the Planning function.
11. To promote HS&E responsibility within the team.
12. Supervise the competent performance of schedule development, maintenance, monitoring and analysis activities and timely issue of reports
13. Prepare, coordinate and supervise scheduling presentations to company and client management as required.
14. To supervise and be responsible for the development and accuracy of schedule reports. To verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility.
15. To be responsible for preparing reports required by company management and project procedures.
16. To monitor project activities against contract scope of work, prepares additional work cost estimates.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
P6 System (good working knowledge of system).
