The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planer who has a track record of working on onshore and offshore maintenance and shutdown projects within the LNG sector.

The Senior Planner role is to provide a scope group planning effort for the development and monitoring of the Asset and Integrity Maintenance Project plan as a function of the integrated asset plan (5yr, 2yr to 120 day). The role is to combine processes, people and systems to deliver maximum added value to the organisation.

Reporting to the Principle Planner the position will be responsible for the following:

• Provide and facilitate the 120 day plan for the Project and integrate with normal operations for the Facilities.
• Engage all onshore and offshore stakeholders to ensure there is alignment with the plan and the integrated planning process in line with deliverables.
• Chair schedule reviews, weekly planner toolbox and other meetings as require.
• Prepare forecast data and trends to management to enable prompt decision making and risk mitigation.
• Apply the planning processes to provide the group with an executable and well defined plan.
• Provide leadership under the direction of the principle planner to develop of Project plan for all onshore deliverables and offshore activities to meet the objectives of the Project.
• Assist Principle planner in identifying planning issues such as early identification of new constraints, exploiting opportunities and optimizing the Project Plan.
• Continuous improvement - review and development of project specific processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the project work order, WBS and coding structure.
• Action the planning elements of the Scope Variation Request (SVR) process and asses impacts to project.
• Responsible for the control and monitoring of the planning data input into computerized maintenance management system and synchronizing into Primavera schedules.
• Prepare resource histograms to be incorporated into the overall Project resource histogram to forecast project man power requirements.
• Mentoring of onshore team to raise planning and scheduling competencies outside of the project controls team.
• Promote the use of the plan as the only tool for planning and re-emphasizing the need to follow correct procedures in relation to plan development and compliance.
• Foster integration between the onshore planning team and offshore execution team
• Periodic offshore assignments to define and estimate scopes within relevant scope group.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications

• Minimum qualification is Trade/Diploma level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical field.
• Advanced Maintenance Management System Skills.
• Advanced Primavera Skills

Experience
• Maintenance Management System (MM SAP) expert.
• Strong background in project planning and scheduling using Primavera.
• Experience with Plant shutdown/turnaround activities, including planning, resource requirements, and cost management.
• Have strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution ability.
• Have supervisory skills.
• Have an expert knowledge of Maintenance Planning.
• Strong PC skills including the use of MS Word, Excel, and Project.
• Able to adjust to changing schedules and priorities.
• Must be very flexible to a changing work environment, including schedule changes, work prioritizing, employee work assignments, etc. Willing to work flexible hours to complete work assignments.
• Ability to understand and interpret P&IDs and vendor drawings.
