The Role:

Based in Head Office, the Senior Planning & Cost Engineer reports directly to the Chief Facilities Engineer and is responsible for:

• Planning and Cost Analysis in Global Operations

• Technical Authority for Production Operations Strategy

• Development of Global Planning System

• Analysis, Reporting and Optimisation of OPEX / CAPEX

• Planning and Cost Support to Offshore & Onshore Operations

• Key interface to finance group for DOP

The incumbent has significant responsibility for development of the company’s global planning and cost capability. Vast experience through project lifecycle, fabrication into operation and maintenance phases, expert in Brownfield and Greenfield projects

Responsabilities:

1.0 Be a recognized company safety leader, take part in onshore and offshore safety reviews – walk the talk!

2.0 Implement all planning processes, controls and systems to measure, optimize and improve global operations

3.0 Working closely with head office development team act as planning and cost expert on new developments and acquisitions

4.0 Be recognized as the company’s Senior Planning and Cost Engineer, establish a global network and strong relationships amongst affiliates, head office functions and partner companies

5.0 Develop a suite of robust planning and cost management documents as the basis of the company’s core standards for field operations and project execution based on company and industry best practice. Assist new developments to build detailed procedures to comply with company policy documents and implement planning and cost management assurance process to verify everything is in place to achieve planned outcomes

6.0 As one of the companies most Senior engineers take part and lead in ongoing operations challenges, potential acquisitions, new investments and new field developments (onshore / offshore)

7.0 Actively engage all other Engineering disciplines in analysis of ongoing operations issues, formulate local plans that require head office support, implement and support these initiatives collaboratively

8.0 Take part in Senior Executive briefings, Company led investment decision forums and partner negotiations

Key contributor to Global Operations Management system

Planning and cost core policies and standards

Planning Quality Control

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant degree in Engineering discipline or similar qualifications

10 -15 years experience in E&P oilfield onshore and offshore

Expert in planning and cost management of new onshore/offshore facilities

Expert knowledge of subsea and surface facilities

Good knowledge of reservoir technologies

Good knowledge of Oil and Gas production process

Fluent in English and good knowledge of French with willingness to improve
