The Role:
This role will provide a planning and scheduling service to the project in accordance with Contract Execution Procedures.

1. Review and understand all relevant documentation pertaining to the project including scope of services, project execution plan, proposal/project schedule (including manpower projection plan), conditions of contract.
2. Work within the standard planning/scheduling procedures. Ensure that these procedures fulfil client requirements and develop additional project specific procedures where necessary.
3. Prepare activity plans to accomplish all work required by the procedures and to ensure that sufficient planning resources are provided.
4. Write job descriptions for Planning Engineers assigned to the project.
5. Direct and control the work of all Planning Engineers assigned to the project.
6. Assist Chief Planning Engineer with performance appraisals of assigned Planning Engineers.
7. Liaise with Client Project Control personnel as necessary.
8. Timely preparation and issue of:-
• Overall Project Schedule Level I
• Strategic Project Schedule Level II
• Project Network Level III
• Schedule Basis Memorandum (SBM)
• Manpower Projection Plan
• Critical Equipment Lists/Schedules
• Progress 'S' Curves and tabulations
• Manhour/Manpower histograms
• Short-term look ahead schedules
• Monthly progress report including narrative
9. Ensure that all involved parties participate in preparation of items described above and that they agree to their respective elements and approve documents where necessary.
10. Produce current physical progress reports and final job statistics.
11. Prepare and issue project action reports to Project Manager/Project Control Manager.
12. Maintain accurate schedule and control curves in an updated condition.
13. Analyse schedule trends and produce regular forecasts of schedule performance and issues for project review.
14. Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant systems operated by other departments.
15. Identify and control planning engineering interfaces between FWEL and FWIEC and any other Affiliate or Joint Venture Partners.
