The Role:
This role will be on a RESIDENTIAL basis in Atyrau.

The Senior Planning Engineer (ARP/BP) is responsible for implementing the Asset Reference Planning Process in the Venture and to develop the first full Asset Reference Plan for the Project development.
In this role he/she will work with the various functions in the Venture and ensure that the ARP develops value by driving Well and Reservoir Management processes and Asset Integrity Processes, as well as providing clear overview of threats and opportunities to the Business.

The Senior Planning Engineer will work closely with the Finance department and the Integrated Planning section in order to ensure that the IAP and Business Planning are fully aligned with the Asset Reference Plan.
In this role he/she will take on responsibilities towards the development of annual - and multi-year OPEX plans – and development of systems to optimize the development of such plans.
The incumbent will further liaise closely with partners and ensure full embedment of the Project ARP in the overall Venture Reference Plan.

The Senior Planning Engineer will further take on the Cat 2 custodianship of Global Primavera and Impress, which are part of the Global IAP toolset. In this role the incumbent will administer the toolset and ensure training on the toolset to individuals within the functions and planning community.

The Senior Planning Engineer will act as back-up for the Activity Planning Lead and the IPP Planner.
He/she will further support the ST IAP and TA planning processes as – and when required.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
As a member of the Integrated Activity Planning Team
• Serve as the expert on the Asset Reference Planning Process
• Become knowledgeable in the WRM and Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management processes – and ensure full embedment into ARP and Functional Plans
• Serve as the expert on OPEX planning and OPEX management
• Actively participate in functional and discipline planning networks
• Develop knowledge over IAP Toolset, and take on administration of Global Primavera and Impress
• Provide internal training on the intended use of the IAP Toolset – in alignment with the global planning processes, taking account of the Kashagan specific circumstances.
• Take on position of Activity Planning Lead and/or IPP Planner during their periods of leave or training
• Support the TA manager with planning and training support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Operations Management, Business Management and Planning.
Exposure to working on a senior level in the organisation
Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
Knowledge of the Russian or Kazakh language is a plus
