The Company:
Our client a UK based refining and marketing company, have interests in a number of facilities in the United Kingdom, employing around 1000 people throughout the UK and over 33000 worldwide. They have had their presence on Teesside for over 30 years, processing and storing crude oil ready for shipment along with being an established supplier of bulk fuels, including LPG, to the commercial, aviation and marine industries.

The Role:
Our Client is looking for an experienced Project Planner to prepare integrated and co-ordinated project plans, enabling resource and material requirements to be forward planned and monitored to meet project schedule and cost deliverables.

* Ensure comprehensive, logic linked, project plans are developed incorporating resource and skills planning, materials planning, cost estimating, earned value forecasting and reporting.
* Ensure prepared plans are continuously monitored to accurately reflect progress and maintain accurate earned value.
* Ensure critical paths are identified and action plans are developed and implemented to maximise project quality, cost and delivery objectives.
* Ensure regular reports and feedback to management on project progress and critical issues.
* Ensure risk and mitigation plans are maintained to manage critical issues and problems and demonstrated in the plans.
* Ensure regular project co-ordination meetings are held on the status of the project with specific reference to engineering activity, sourcing, quality, cost and delivery.
* Ensure participation in the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes to support successful project delivery.

* An electrical discipline background would also be preferable but not a requisite.
* Experience of planning work in a petrochemical or similar continuous process plant as a desirable.
* Candidate must have excellent communication and organisational skills to be able to impart programme information to all Team members.
* Candidates MUST be proficient in the use of P6 - version used is Primavera P6 Project Management Release: 7.0 Service Pack 3.
* SAP experience would be an advantage but not a necessity.
