The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe, with operations world wide.

The Role:
Based within our project team for East Africa working in our London HQ, you will work within the Planning Department to analyse project requirements and prepare a Project Master Schedule which integrates constraints and strategies for Appraisal and Development including Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases.
Prepare logic diagrams, in accordance with a Work Breakdown Structure, which form the basis for detailed level schedule reporting and analysis. Issue detailed activity schedules and expedite the return of schedule updating data.
Support the Developments team via preparing and keeping updated the Risk Register and other project registers Risk analysis of schedule activity.
To monitor progress against schedules, analyse deviations and recommend remedial actions. Prepare agenda items for schedule review meetings.
To prepare and maintain progress curves for each project phase in accordance with the Project Control Plan.
To co-ordinate, in conjunction with discipline engineers, a document level progress measurement system and operate the performance measurement system.
To prepare and maintain in conjunction with the projects material control group, a requisition tracking system that meets the
requirements of the Project Control Plan.
To prepare and make presentations to project teams and senior management on schedule control methodologies and procedures used by the company.
To assist the Group Project Controls Manager in maintaining schedule related database, administration of the Project Control group and the development of new planning tools and methodologies.
Any ad-hoc tasks as required by the Cost & Planning Manager

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Highly conversant in both planning and some cost engineering
Experience of industry standard project controls systems such as Primavera, Artemis, or MS Project is essential.
Experience in planning working in the Oil & Gas
Experience involved in the Exploration & Production Industry
Ideally Remote Land based project experience from Pre FEED\Early Works
Membership of a professional body such as APM or PMI is
