The Company:
Our Client is a specialist in Brownfield modifications and offer both staff and contractors the opportunity to be exposed to challenging and long term projects on a global scale from their Perth office. Working in partnership with their clients, their aimd is to increase productivity and reduce costs in a safety focussed approach.

The Role:
As a Senior Planner your key role is to assist the Project Engineering team in effectively and proactively planning the Engineering and implementation/construction workload with an emphasis on resource manpower and loading and forecasting.

Your role will involve the following:

• Construct detailed shutdown plans
• Providing key dates, milestones, interdependencies, work breakdown structure and schedule requirements,
• Providing detailed logical activity based plans determined by defined construction sequences and provide manpower resourcing analysis for all design discipline and engineering works,
• Providing regular planning status reports and resource histograms including S Curves for major projects and earned value analysis,
• Reviewing potential changes to provide input to the change control procedure and incorporate approved changes into the baseline programme,
• Assisting the Engineering Manager and Planning Coordinator with monitoring the overall performance of schedule and man-hours for the Engineering and implementation groups
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships at different levels, departments and locations,
• Being an active member in creating and maintaining a culture of HSE leadership that genuinely values no harm to the environment and values our people’s safety, health and well-being.
• Regular site visits and support for shutdowns

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively plan the engineering and implementation workload
• Solid experience with Primavera and Excel data bases
• Ability to build effective relationships in the workplace
• Optimum coordination and prioritisation skills in a pressured environment
• Planning experience gained in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical
