The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As a Senior Process Control Engineer, you will be the technical focal point for all Process Control governance, advice and support within the defined sphere of expertise. You will be responsible to ensure BoD and FEED consistency in design proposals and to provide discipline expertise/technical guidance to commissioning, start-up and handover teams for all process control, digital networks and power management systems. You will also work closely with the Operations Teams and Project Teams to maintain plant integrity and support achievement of production goals.

Ensure that Safety is reinforced as the highest priority consideration in conducting plant operations through an emphasis on Process Safety not losing sight of Occupational Health and Safety
Understands commitments and responsibilities under International and Australian standards, for instance Safety Case requirements
Be able to develop a comprehensive understanding of the company wide pan-packages processes
Detailed understanding of operational and engineering processes and has to work closely with colleagues and contractors across a number of different functional areas
Ensure readiness of Process Control for Production facilities start-up
Provide specialist engineering input to the development of operational strategies for process control and power management systems ensuring compliance with relevant international standards and local legislation
Establish Control Room philosophies for support of Operator PMS, Production toolset and Advanced Process Control (APC) systems and applications
Develop Operational strategies for the real time support of critical Digital Process Network infrastructure, including Control Rooms and Integrated Collaborative Environment rooms (ICE)
Develop future operations requirements for Condition and Performance monitoring systems and operational data historians
Lead, co-ordinate, produce Process Control documentation in line with the demands of the varying packages and operations
Monitor and submit reports on Project Cost Control and Project budget
Assist in the recruitment process and mentor junior Process Engineers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical or Process (Control) Engineering or Computer Systems.
Post-graduate qualifications would be considered an advantage.
Extensive experience in supporting Oil and Gas Operations within the hydrocarbon offshore and onshore environment
Verifiable performance and delivery in positions of technical authority
Experience in oversight of technical staff & ability to lead a team
Experience with the development of and commitment to, engineering systems, procedures and quality assurance
Experience of working within a controlled change management culture to ensure that any changes are fully assessed and approved
Experience in high availability critical infrastructure
Expert level digital networking skills in both physical and virtual operating environments essential
Able to manage inter cultural group sensitivities
Able to communicate with internal and external bodies on technical issues
Knowledge of technical systems and Interfaces such as PLC's, SCADA, and RTU's, m
