The Company:
A global Service Company in the oil and gas industry.

The Role:
The Senior Process Controls Engineer plans and conducts research, designs, develops and executes phases of larger project or a total project of moderate complexity. May be the lead engineer on challenging projects with some functional supervision.Plans and assigns personnel for given projects or tasks. Recommends changes in procedures. Operates with some latitude in making autonomous decisions. Reviews progress with team/project leader. Handles special projects, as assigned.

The candidate is expected to demonstrate and implement proven performance developing and integrating applied technologies from concept to commercial operations. Must have proven performance working within a team of multi-discipline engineers, to assist in the design a total control system for a given project. This will include all power systems, PLC based software and SCADA HMI interfaces.

As a senior engineer it is expected that this individual will mentor and assist with the professional development and maturity of junior engineers within the control engineer discipline team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering or Computer Science would be preferable however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
• 6 years or more of practical work experience in a design or operational engineering capacity is necessary.
• Ability to Design SCADA Hardware and Software.
• Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC software programming
• Ability to generate software design documentation
• Design and fully detail power systems
• Design and preparation of electrical circuit drawings
• Knowledge and understanding of Hazardous Areas and ATEX/CE requirements would be an advantage
• Ability to deal effectively with suppliers, customers and clients at all levels.
• Assume direct technical responsibilities for any assigned task and make specific recommendations concerning solution, making use of technical knowledge and training.
• Assist in or conduct problem studies leading to recommendations for modifications to upgrade
