The Company:
Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
The successful candidate will be required to lead the process engineering elements of a wide range of projects and consultancy assignments in the chemical and oil & gas industries. They will be required to develope cost and resource estimates and present proposals to customers. Additional responsibilities will include managing small process teams on larger assignments.

Key Duties & responsibilities:
- Effectively manage multifunctional interfaces - internal, customers and suppliers
- Effectively lead teams to deliver assignments
- Manage your own personal development
- Take responsibility for the management, personal development and appraisal of the team
- This is a fee earning role with a high utilisation target and you will take personal responsibility for meeting these targets
- Act as an Intermediate Contract Manager with full contract performance accountability (WIP, margin etc)
- Understand the competitive position of the team and use this to influence an offer
- Identify and support pull through opportunities for the wider parts of the business
- Seek opportunities to enhance margin performance
- Work with customers to shape and define solutions based on a good understanding of the customer environment
- Innovate with the customer to deliver improvements
- Shape and align the functional offerimg to best meet the customer needs
- Manage relationships with the client at a senior level

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience working as a process engineer in the process industries including chemicals and oil & gas
Chartered Chemical Engineer
In depth knowledge of process engineering development at all stages of the project process

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of upstream oil & gas industries
Experience of flare and blowdown studies
Experience of pressure relief studies
Experience of hazard studies and implementing actions
