The Role:
Ensure that all allocated responsibilities are dealt with in accordance with agreed procedures & standards. Ensure that the Client business drivers and performance incentives are understood & complied with.
Maintain technical integrity.
Production of Process engineering deliverables including reports and design documents for project use in conjunction with other members of the team in a timely and efficient manner.
Support the Lead Engineer in department activities
Supervisory and Managerial Duties:
Supervision of assigned discipline personnel including Process Engineers, Graduate Engineers and Designers.
Give technical direction and guidance to engineering and design personnel
Ensure that the technical competence of Process personnel under their supervision is matched to the work in hand
Ensure that the work output of Process personnel under their supervision complies with the relevant WGE, Client, national & international standards & procedures. This will be generally be achieved by applying checking & approval procedure for all created documents, & calculations.
Provide technical assistance to Process personnel as required. This will include developing the knowledge and skills of the Process personnel, including mentoring.
Ensure as far as practically possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
Be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards e.g., BS, API and Client codes and standards, DCR and HS&E Regulations and EU Directives
Prepare engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules.
Ensure that results of any development work are fully utilised in Process activities
Provide technical assistance to other disciplines as required
Provide documentation and drawing deliverables for inclusion in workpacks and design books on time to meet offshore deadlines
Produce cost effective designs that are fit for purpose and safe
Participate as necessary in discussions with Clients and visit job sites as required
Assist the Lead Process Engineer when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum BSc/ BEng/ MEng in Chemical Engineering. In exceptional circumstances, degree level qualifications in other relevant subjects may be considered (i.e. Mechanical Engineering), however, this must be accompanied with significant experience in process design & operations.
Must be chartered (CEng or equivalent) and member of relevant professional institution.
