Our Client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over £2.6 billion. The Role:
◦Ensure that the technical competence of Process personnel under their supervision is matched to the work in hand
◦Ensure that the work output of Process personnel under their supervision complies with the relevant company, Client, national & international standards & procedures. This will be generally be achieved by applying the company checking & approval procedure for all created documents, & calculations.
◦Provide technical assistance to Process personnel as required. This will include developing the knowledge and skills of the Process personnel, including mentoring.
◦Ensure as far as practically possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
◦Be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards e.g., BS, API and Client codes and standards, DCR and HS&E Regulations and EU Directives
◦Prepare engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules.
◦Ensure that results of any development work are fully utilised in Process activities
◦Provide technical assistance to other disciplines as required
◦Provide documentation and drawing deliverables for inclusion in workpacks and design books on time to meet offshore deadlines
◦Produce cost effective designs that are fit for purpose and safe
◦Participate as necessary in discussions with Clients and visit job sites as required
◦Assist the Lead Process Engineer when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Minimum BSc/ BEng/ MEng in Chemical Engineering. In exceptional circumstances, degree level qualifications in other relevant subjects may be considered (i.e. Mechanical Engineering), however, this must be accompanied with significant experience in process design & operations.
•Capable of developing P&IDs from concept through to detailed design.
•Experienced in process equipment and systems design including vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, control valves, relief & flare systems, piping, control & emergency systems.
•Experienced in process simulation using HYSYS or other similar software.
•Familiar with typical process design software such as Pipesim, Flaresim, Flarenet etc.
•Computer fluency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
•Experienced in HAZOP technique. Awareness of SIL/ HAZID etc.
•Experienced in managing conceptual and feasibility studies including use of technical-economic analysis to select optimum process schemes

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
•Preferably chartered (CEng or equivalent) and member of relevant professional institution.
•Preferably gained in the UK or Norwegian offshore oil & gas industries.
