The Company:
Our Client’s engineering division, has been a leader in the design of drilling facilities for offshore platforms worldwide for over 30 years. The company’s 700-strong workforce provides a range of engineering services from pre-project and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through detail design, construction support, hook-up and commissioning.

The Role:
Senior Process Engineer with past experience of utility systems design for offshore rig or production platforms. The individual shall have a BEng / MEng Degree in Chemical Process Engineering and preferably have a IChem Chartered status.

The project includes teh following utility systems:-
- Intrument Air Distribution
- Plant Air Distribution
- Bulk (conveying) Air Distribution
- Brine Distribution
- Drill water (Fresh water) Distribution
- HP Wash Water Distribution
- Black and Grey Water
- Open Hazardous Drianage Systems
- Open Non-hazardous Drianage Systems

The Engineershall be responsible for the design of the utility distribution system to vendor packaged equipment, which will include the design of overpressure protection systems (pressure relief) to protect the downstream equiptment. The Engineer shall be able to prepare relief valve bursting disc sizing calculations and produce any relevant datasheets associated with these items. The individual shall have sufficient experience to be able to check calculations produced by other Engineers within the team.

The Engineer shall be responsible for deliver of the following:-
- Utility flow diagrams
- Material selection diagrams (in alignment with the UFDs)
- Distribution systems design including:
- Distribution pipework networkhydraulic supporting calculations
- Provision pf process instrument data for specification of control equiptment e.g. process data for pressure reduction sets for HP/LP interfaces etc
- Relief valve and bursting disc sizing calculations
- Provision of process data for relief valve and bursting disc datasheets

The individual should be a responsible individual, be able to work in a clear structured manner, a self starter with good communication skills (verbal and written) that is able to work within a team of Engineers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Utility Systems Design for an offshore environment
- Past experience of designing relief streams for utility systems
- Good communication skills, logical, organised, able to work in a team, a decision maker and a self starter
- Previous experience of checking calculations
- Design of utility systems relief streams
- Must be computer literate
- BEng/ MEng in Chemical Process Engineering

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
IChemE Chartered Status
