The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Senior Process Engineers X 2 to be based in Newport, South Wales on a petrochemical site.

Position will be a customer facing role for developing a pre-FEED with a client engineering team for the capacity increase of an existing facility.
The candidate will be a senior engineer with a proven track record in hydrocarbons and chemicals projects. Typical projects include Oil & Gas, terminals, refinery & petrochemicals projects, bulk chemicals, industrial gases and specialist support work. Some operations experience would be beneficial.
Good communication and presentation skills are essential. Travel is required for the completion of a pre-FEED with the intention of the FEED then being progressed in the WorleyParsons North East Office. Duration 9-12 months.
The individual will be able to perform all stages of project process engineering including being able to model using simulators.


Core Responsibilities:



To provide definition of the Process engineering work in assigned Projects, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the office Lead Process Engineer
Provide technical support to the Business Development team in winning new contracts
To clearly understand the Codes and Standards applicable to the work carried out and raise deviations where necessary
Prior to commencement of any Process work, a Process scope of work (SoW) must be written and agreed with the office Lead Process Engineer (or designated representative). The Process SoW must clearly state the workscope, manhour budget and schedule to complete the work
Estimate Process manhours for any job using the current Company Process manhour norms
Responsible for maintaining work progress (budget, schedule) and raising change documentation where necessary.
Supervision of technical detail, budget and schedule of Process design in Project work where requested by the Lead Process Engineer
Liaison with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner
Where requested to undertake Process focal point duties
To plan manhour budgets and schedules for all Projects within the focal point area of responsibility.
To manage all resources allocated to the focal point area of responsibility (both technically and by discipline specific project controls)
To liaise with the equivalent client focal point on technical and engineering matters on a regular basis
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Project.
Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Project. Understand and follow OH&S procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Role will be an agency contract hire position with occasional travel to Teesside office.
Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Chartered
Experienced chartered Process Engineer.
Proven track record process design.
Excellent technical communication and co-ordination skills.
