The Role:
(Mission based in Paris, with regular missions to Republic of Kazakhstan).
To ensure the quality and timely delivery of process studies under engineering contracts or other support arrangements.

The job holder is accountable and responsible to support the control and review of the process studies performed by the engineering contractor for the Project asset during the different phases of project development.
The work can include, but is not limited to: oil and gas process design and treatment using simulation tools / utilities design / flow assurance studies / sizing of process equipment and pipelines / equipment pressure and temperature design rating / gas compression and injection systems.
To ensure that process engineering deliverables in line with the scope of work provided, fundamentally sound, operable, and consistent with Client Corporate Management System technical rules & standards, quality review and control systems, and Client operating infrastructure;
To provide sound advice to the project team, company co-workers or the management in the process area of expertise;
To review study reports and process evaluations in a timely manner ensuring sufficient quality and detail to meet requirements, including the preparation of presentation slides;
To support the Facilities Engineering Coordinator and the Lead Process Engineer in answering any technical queries, raised by the engineering contractor and in reviewing the technical documentation issued by engineering contractor;
To provide support to Development Engineers for the development studies;
To perform or coordinate technical and engineering studies as instructed;
To support the integration of new technologies to add economic value to field development, and work with Client New; Technology Group as required;
To support management reviews with technical input as requested;
To review existing assets and designs and previous development and process studies to ensure grounding in accepted designs and concepts;
To participate in peer and/or quality review meetings, audits, and technical reviews, making presentations if required;
To actively participate in effective data management of the Process group information and document control of related departmental information;
To carry out other tasks as instructed by immediate supervisor within assigned area of responsibility and professional qualification.

Safety Responsibility: the job holder will promote safe working practices in company operational and non operational premises and will act at all times in accordance with the company HSE and business ethics policies.
Compliance with: Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Laws/Regulations & The Client Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and Safety Management Systems.

Main Interfaces are The Client / Agents
The job holder interacts with the following: Project team members and entities, incl. those under TSA or Agent agreement / All the Planning Directorate / Agents by participation to meetings and Workshops Partners/External entities.
The job holder provides technical support during meetings with the following parties: Contractors / Rep. of Kazakhstan Design Institutes / Vendors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chemical Engineering (BSc level) or similar degree from an accredited University.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas industry, of which at least 5 years should be related to oil & gas facilities design and conceptual studies.
Experience & familiarity with RoK and/or other Caspian projects.
Knowledge of E& P industry process methods & standards.
Good technical, interpersonal and team-working skills.
Ability to identify, analyze, resolve complex technical / commercial problems and to work on multiple task simultaneously.
Full understanding of importance in planning and executing projects in the Oil & Gas business / & the role of structured project management processes / and HSE importance in planning and executing projects.
Proactive approach to : decisional process / HSE issues / Process of safety/hazard management / Working knowledge of all relevant discipline codes and standards.
Well developed written and spoken English language skills.
