The Company:
Our client is one of the worlds largest providers of technical services across a wide range of sectors, including nuclear.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Process Engineer, To support the Lead Process Engineer in successful production and updating of engineering deliverables.
Duties will include planning and prioritising own work to ensure that functional project requirements on scope, time and cost are met.
Work closely with other disciplines, the Client and Sub-Contractors to ensure project objectives and Process functional requirements are delivered.
Recognise and address potential and actual cross-discipline issues and conflicts so that overall engineering input to a project is coherent
Carry out engineering calculations, and check work of more junior engineers, to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
Specify equipment to meet functional requirements.
Carry out commissioning/development/evaluation activities as required.
Ensure that work complies with all necessary requirements and procedures.
To assist in the development of more junior engineers.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A Chemical Engineering degree is essential, Chartered Engineer status is essential however our client may consider a candidate with an application imminent.
Ideally 5 – 10 years of relevant experience with an engineering or operating company, and a minimum of 3 years experience in the nuclear sector.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Succesful candidate will ideally hold security clearance and have the ability to achieve SC clearance.
Previous experience of Sellafield site, B30 or slurry handling experience is preferred.
Experience of large scale projects in the nuclear sector would be preferred.
This should also include the supervision of other Process Engineering team members both for technical adequacy of design and for control of man-hours and all associated costs.
A candidate should be familiar with the application of current planning techniques and have experience of formulating budgets and programmes to cover their work content.
