The Role:
To support the Process TA in completion of activities required to ensure readiness to operate the Asset.

To provide assurance and acceptance of assigned functional systems prior to, and at the point of, handover from Project to Operations.

To support the start-up execution of the project in accordance with the design intent, and in achievement of design throughput.

• Lead and participate in hazops, risk assessments and other safety reviews.
• Responsible for review of Commissioning, start-up and Operations procedures.
• Responsible for completing process calculations.
• Responsible for the review and delegated approval of leak testing activities.
• Responsible for acceptance of designated systems at point of handover from commissioning to operations.
• Responsible for acceptance and rationalisation of process models from the design team. (eg mass balance, flow assurance, flare dynamics, fire water hydraulics).
• Responsible for ensuring that designated assets are operated within their design envelop, current best practice guidance and legislation.
• Provide supervision and guidance during Start-up activities.
• Deliver training for start-up and Operations for staff.
• Monitor the construction, commissioning activities as part of the operations team and in readiness for start-up.
• Co-ordinate specialist contractors, vendors, project staff and operations team prior to and during start-up
• Support Operations team in the delivery of production targets.
• Support the Pre Start-up Safety Review.
• Engage with the Project team to maximise efficiency on commissioning schedules to achieve the earliest possible system start-up date.

Operations Team

Graduate Chemical Engineer with relevant experience including significant Operations involvement.

Significant experience in the start-up of new facilities.

Current working knowledge of chemical engineering, guidance and legislation, as it is applied by an E&P operator in the UKCS.


• Be able to demonstrate commitment to safety and demonstrable QHSE leadership.
• An ability to work under pressure.
• Broad knowledge of Commissioning, Start-up and Operational practices.

• A team player with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
