The Role:
The is position is residential in Kazkahstan

• Assures technical integrity of installations throughout their life cycle. This includes responsibilities for the Technical Authority 2 (TA2) role for Sulfur within the Process Engineering & Technology discipline:
Ensures all deliverables produced by/for the disciplines as defined in the respective Controls and Assurance Plans (PCAP or ACAL) comply with the approved Codes & Standards.
• Reviews and approves business critical deliverables requiring TA-2 authorisation appropriate to their discipline
• Participates in technical audits of contractor deliverables.
• As appropriate, recommends and justifies deviations from the approved Codes & Standards to the TA-1.
• Reviews and assesses competency of contractor’s personnel within their Discipline.
• Provides Process Engineering support to Operation for Sulfur related issues. This primarily involves providing discipline input as required into the commissioning / start-up of new or modified plant, the maintenance / operation / troubleshooting of existing plant and requires an effective interface with the Operations organization for Process facilities.
• Plays a key coaching role for local staff in the skill pool
• Participates in HSSE reviews
• Participates in incident investigations as required discipline
• Supports preparation of cost estimates and schedules to carry out Process Engineering work
• Contributes to the evaluation of Vendors/suppliers/contractors for Process Engineering services, equipment and products as required
• Continually seeks to improve ways of working to improve performance and to improve value delivery to projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• An engineering degree and minimum 12 years relevant engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience
• Recognised specialist in the global Process engineering skill pool
• Significant field experience gathered from a range of locations
• Ability to quickly establish relationships with practitioners to ensure discipline engineering processes and standards are consistently applied
• Aware of & familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high H2S facilities
• Well proven interpersonal & communication skills
• Experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness
• An energetic person with drive and stamina who is solution-oriented, customer-focused and who can deal with a multitude of, at times, challenging interfaces.
