The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
The Senior Procurement Specialist will provide procurement support to the Project for the OBT (Open Book Tender) exercises for various scopes as assigned. You will be responsible for overseeing the Contractors activities in relation to ensuring AIP requirements are achieved, Prequalification exercises, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and preparation for award of Purchase orders are carried out to Company satisfaction for portfolio of Project materials and Equipment.

Key responsibilities will include:

•Take the lead role in management of Projects Long lead Item (LLI) enquiry, evaluation and contract award
•Support the Contract management of the Onshore Facilities OBT Agreement deliverables, specifically in relation to procurement deliverables by Contractor
•Supporting of all aspects relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of purchase orders for capital equipment for Onshore Facilities (including long lead items)
•Creation and management of SAP Purchase Orders for Offshore related requirements (as required)
•Prepare and assist in required approval documentation (in accordance with the JOA)
•Undertake commercial and contractual correspondence with suppliers (as required)
•Provide accurate and timely reports on procurement portfolio
•Oversee and review Contractors work relevant to the prequalification, preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and award of purchase orders for materials and equipment for the Onshore Facilities.
•Ensure Contractor is in compliance with the approved contracting and procurement procedures.
•Review Contractors commercial and contractual correspondence / meetings with suppliers (as required) and direct Company position to Contractor.
•Ensure Australian Industry Participation objectives are being considered and implemented in all procurement activities (work closely with Perth Supply Diversity Advisor)
•Ensure Procurement expenditure is monitored and within approved values amounts
•Preparation of documents for presentation to the client OBT review panels.
•Participate is Contract / OBT audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards
•Vendor visits as required
•Ensure that procurement administration is carried out in the most efficient and cost effective manner utilising approved procedures and systems
•Ensure Contractor is in compliance with the approved contracting and procurement procedures
•Ensure compliance through participation is audits of Contractor

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be successful you will hold the following skills and experience:

•Tertiary qualifications in business (preferable)
•10+ years experience in Procurement, preferably in Oil & Gas
•Onshore major capital equipment procurement experience
•SAP R/3 skills (MM module)
•Good communication skills, both oral and written
•Organisation skills (high)
•Strong team working skills
•Enthusiastic & ability to multi-task
