The Company:
Our Client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over £2.6 billion. They believe that it is the people that drive their success, from Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants to designers and commercial personnel. They work globally employing over 20,000 people on major operations including the UK.

The Role:
Main Duties:
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to manage stand alone projects, package procurement and general purchases/services for a Brownfield modifications project. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required along with the ability to work as part of a team or individually as required. A proactive attitude to procurement is essential.

Accountability
Directly to the Supply Chain lead to ensure all package and client bulk procurement is conducted as per company policy, ethics and procedures.

Basic Functions
Responsible for selecting and negotiating with approved vendors and placing purchase and service orders in response to project requirements following all company policy and project requirements. Assist and - if required- mentor buyers in the project team. Undertake invoice resolution and order close out as per defined procedures.

Principal Responsibilities
To carry out the procurement function in a professional and ethical manner ensuring that all project deadlines are met in line within defined work scopes and time lines. Act as the focal point between project management, engineering, vendors and sub contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Higher grades, HNC or equal, CIPS membership optional.
Preparation of RFQ paperwork and evaluation of bids. Placement of PO and management of PO up to delivery. Knowledge and experience using the Oracle system plus a good level of computer skills.
Accepts responsibility, decision making, planning and organisation, initiative, self motivated and dynamic. Financial focus, create value, integrity and team focus.
Oil and gas experience in a similar role.
