The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
For our client we are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist. On offer is a 12 month contract, Perth based.

Key responsibilities include:
• Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
• Take responsibility for purchases in support of customer-related business processes or for internal use.
• Discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and is responsible for negotiating refunds.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.
• Under general supervision, solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
• Use experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.
• May provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will need to have:
• Undergraduate Degree.
• Minimum of 5 plus years’ Project buying experience in Oil & Gas or Mining industries.
• Experience working in a very demanding and dynamic environment.

Preferred skills include:
• Advanced negotiations including both commercial and legal terms and conditions.
• Vendor management
• Complex problem solving
• Excellent prioritization skills and a demonstrated sense of urgency in handling urgent matters
• Customer focused
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple functions
• Proficient with Purchasing and Project Management Systems
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Flexible skillset which allows handling of both complex and simple purchasing transactions

Training/Certification:
• Supply Chain Management Training / Certification or equivalent degree or work experience.
