The Company:
Our Client is one of the world's largest Oil and Gas companies. Their operations cover the entire energy chain, including oil exploration and production to trading, shipping and refining and marketing of petroleum products, as well as chemicals. The Role:
•Co-ordinate support to site operation team, for safe and efficient delivery of production targets
•Provide leadership for junior engineers, with responsibility for providing work direction and technical guidance, checking work/project progress
•Proactive participation in ensuring that departmental objectives and work plans are met
•Analyse and resolve production/process issues utilising the appropriate techniques, liaising with other departments and group/external specialists where necessary. Review resulting studies to enable technical decisions to be made and ensure timely and cost effective resolution of production/process issues
•Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance and provide feedback to Line Management, identify opportunities to maximise production and performance and share best practice
•Perform all duties as a proponent engineer in line with Request for Modification Procedure.
•Be responsible for implementing the Change Management Procedure when applicable.
•Carry out routine review of Stream Cases and ensure that the status is regularly updated and prioritised.
•Prepare and supervise functional and performance tests of equipment/units, in close co-operation with offshore personnel. Undertake concise analysis and reporting on effectiveness of testing procedures
•Propose and justify modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety/efficiency/reliability of equipment. Ensure clear and concise scopes of work/procedures are produced and that all modifications meet statutory and Company standards. Participate in MA process as appropriate
•Review and check all deliverables (scopes of work/calculation notes/procedures/etc…) undertaken by junior engineers and industrial placements
•Take part in the commissioning of major new equipment and the review of operator training documentation
•In collaboration with the Production Chemistry team, ensure all chemical treatments meet performance and contractual specifications
•Develop and maintain good working relationships with site personnel through effective communication and by making regular visits to installations to review ongoing work programmes and support operations personnel
•Develop positive and constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of services/products supplied
•Represent the Production Engineering team and provide technical support to HAZOPs and technical audits ensuring operational issues are properly considered
•Be responsible for the maintenance and the update of the existing engineering documentation (PID notably) as delegated by Process TA
•Liaise with pipeline operators to ensure all activities are co-ordinated between all sites
•Liaise with external agencies on production/environmental issues such as flare consent, overboard water quality and chemical usage
•Liaise with Business Development, Project, Technical Services and Reservoir when required.
•Deputise for Team Leader- Production Engineering as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
Appropriate experience in oil and gas process/production
Chartered or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of onshore/offshore process and production systems
Knowledge of industry norms and specifications
Knowledge of Company Rules and General Specifications
Experience of working in an offshore environment
