The Company:
Subsidiary of major energy company, operating offshore gas fields and onshore gas processing terminals.

The Role:
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the job holder will be supporting and leading Petroleum Engineering activities across the regional operated and non-operated assets
• Leads planning and oversight of well activities (data gathering requirements, interventions etc.) by interacting with Subsurface, Wells and Operations teams. The range of work will encompass the breadth of life-of-field activities, including production and surveillance data analysis, well performance modelling, wellwork identification and planning, etc.
• Builds a practice of well performance monitoring of existing well stock to allow pro-active forecasting of well activities to be carried out and minimize reactive maintenance work
• Provide relevant input to production forecasting in association with Reservoir Engineers
• Builds and maintains well and associated infrastructure models for all operated wells that can be relied on for decision making
• Helps develop Production and Operations Excellence methodology including problem structuring frameworks, conduct fact based analysis, develop best practice tools. Assist in running collaborative workshops to drive cross functional problem solving and planning
• Helps develop Continuous Improvement organisation and drive capability development
• Prepares and presents material internally and to third parties (DECC/JV partners)
• Participates and contributes in all relevant subsurface and operations risk assessments
• Works hand in hand with Business and Asset leadership and functional teams to identify improvement areas and implement operational best practices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Regional and gas asset experience, hands-on knowledge of the industry standard Petroleum Engineering tools, software and workflows is a must
Experienced in production engineering/technology with a good background in well operations
Superior analytic capability and associated problem solving, with an ability to critique generally accepted ways of working and new concepts,
Relied on for his/her own initiative, lead dialogue with business and deliver solutions
Proven ability to structure and frame issues, influence relevant stakeholders and drive associated analysis and implementation to conclusion
Keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies and applies leading technologies and technical best practice to maximize well and field performance.
Strong stakeholder management to develop positive working relationships
Uses the good understanding of financial/commercial aspects of work activities to create and drive work plans. Ensures relevant expenditures / AFEs are effectively manage
