The Company:
We’re currently looking for a senior Production Technologist to lead one of 4 area Well, Reservoir and Facility Management – WRFM - Teams in the Land Asset in Assen, The Netherlands.

The Role:
The Land Asset comprises some 100 producing fields and 22 sales points in 4 clusters geographically spread across the Netherlands: North, East, West and the new Schoonebeek oil development. The fields cover all stages of Life Cycle maturity ranging from exploration, appraisal of new fields to fields reaching the end of field life. This poses the challenge to WRFM team to balance day-to-day firefighting, short term optimisation activities to safeguard production and studies to address longer term, strategic, needs.

The Land asset is one of the cornerstones of the global portfolio and while considered a mature asset it has a distinct strategy to expand its explorations efforts, further push the limits on developing even smaller fields, step-up efforts to develop oil fields as well as increase recovery of gas fields through Enhanced Gas Recovery techniques such as Nitrogen injection. A core activity of the Land asset is to extend the field life and recovery of gas fields through novel gas well deliquification technologies. To facilitate this the asset has organized the European Gas Well Deliquification Conference for the last 7 years and this has led to implementation of several world’s first deliquification applications in the Land asset.

You will be responsible to manage the multi-disciplinary Well, Reservoir and Facility Management team for one of the 4 area production clusters in the Land asset.

Specifically your responsibilities include:
• All production system surveillance, including real-time monitoring of wells and facilities as well as the planning and interpretation of all well and reservoir surveillance activities
• Opportunity identification and maturation of all WRFM activities, with specific responsibility as Senior PT for all well interventions
• Well integrity management for all wells in the cluster, including carrying out risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measures
• Help shape the WRFM strategy that is instrumental to extend the field life and shape the future of the Land asset incl. development of long term gas well deliquification strategies.
• Manage key interfaces involved with Petroleum Engineering, Production Operations, Integrated Activity Planning, Programming, Well Services, Process Engineering and Maintenance
• Implementation of business improvement initiatives in order to drive the team towards world-class WRFM performance
• Line supervisor responsibility for 2-3 cluster PTs, incl. coaching and mentoring of junior staff and QA/QC of technical work and indirect responsibility to lead a ringfenced team of some 15 other discipline staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a Physical Science educational level, have extensive EP knowledge and experience as a Senior Production Technologist in the Oil & Gas industry.
You are a competent user of relevant PT software and master well and integrated production system modeling, well surveillance techniques, production system optimisation and generating well intervention proposals. In addition, experience in the following areas will be of benefit: implementing change and LEAN projects across functional boundaries, gas well weliquification technology and implementation of new technologies.
The successful candidate should also have demonstrable commitment to HSE, have coaching or leadership experience, be an excellent communicator who can operate efficiently in a complex environment with many stakeholders.
