The Company:
A major operator in the Oil & Gas industry

The Role:
The South N'Dola Project is planned to be a four leg, 20 slot well head platform in aproximately 230ft water depth. It is located in the southern portion of the N'Dola field in Block 'O', offshore Angola. The platform will consist of separation and compression facilities. Twelve wells will initially be drilled and completed for production. Produced fluids will be piped and tied-in subsea to existing pipeline infrastructure. FEED and evaluation of bids for 3 EPCI work scopes (WHP, Pipelines, and Brownfield) is completed. The project is transitioning from Phase 3 to Phase 4.

The Sr. Project Engineer - Topsides will:
• Be responsible for the detailed design of the Topsides.
• Lead as company representative at contractor's yard to resolve construction and design problems in the field.
- Provide oversight and supervision to team of discipline engineers responsible for topsides detailed design and fabrication support.
• Coordinates activities of construction support functions such as inspectors, vendors, etc.
• Provide support in design and constructability of the South N'Dola facilities.
• Ensure that an inherent safe design is obtained.
• Assist with constructability reviews and advise on ways to improve the design for ease of maintenance and constructability.
• Monitor EPCI contractors' work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Analyzes and resolves contractor queries related to design, construction / installation activities.
• Support costs estimates, schedule reviews, and VIPs as required.
• Support the Engineering Manager in the application of all aspects of the CPDEP Process.
• Foster an environment of high performance, IIF, top quartile capital stewardship, exemplary decision quality, strong partnership behaviors and delivery of the business expectations.
• Apply CSOC & IIF principles and demonstrate behaviors.

Assignment will initially be based in Houston during Detailed Engineering, and will transition to Okpo, Korea during the fabrication phase. Assignment may include periodic travel to Angola to liaise with operations, partners, and other stakeholders. Assignment will include work offshore during HUC activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Scope:
Experienced in the design and fabrication of oil and gas facilities, particularly in design and fabrication of large topsides and jackets. Structural or Mechanical engineering background (e.g. jackets, topsides, etc.) with working knowledge of CVX CES. Experience in the application of recommended API standards API RP 2A.

Safety-in-Design & Reliability scope:
Experienced with CVX - Safety in Design (SID) manual. Good understanding of safe design, fabrication and installation practices. Experienced with basic and detailed engineering design, including equipment layout, operability and constructability review.

Contractor Management:
Ability to apply effective progress monitoring, scheduling and cost control while working with design contractors, consultants, vendors and fabricators.

Project Management:
Ability to generate cost estimates, schedule reviews, and appropriate use of VIPs. Familiarity with CSOC/CPDEP or similar principles desirable. Ability to work
