The Role:
We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Project Director) to join our Project Management organization in Saudi Arabia.

Supervise and coordinate preparation of the project proposal, including development and analysis of alternates

Present or participate in presenting the project proposal to proponents and other interested organizations at technical meetings within Saudi Aramco. And following the resolution of problems, secure project proposal approvals.

Supervise, coordinate and direct preparation of budget briefs, budget estimates, expenditure requests, economic analysis and authorizations for expenditures.

Coordinate the preparation of contracts, technical information and other information required for the award of design, project management and construction contracts.

Supervise and coordinate overall planning, control and appraisal of the project as defined by the approved scope.

Ensure that designs meet Saudi Aramco standards and specifications and that alternate designs or changes are economical, operable and meet safety, maintenance and schedule requirements.

Responsible for compliance to project controls and administration guidelines/procedures, including those related to cost control and forecasting, planning and scheduling, contract administration and materials control, during project execution.

Responsible for maintaining project records, including drawings, specifications, logs, financial reports and project correspondence.
Approve contract payment and variations within limits of their authority; endorse and forward to higher authority where required.

Supervise and coordinate planning to adjust to unanticipated changes in scope, materials and equipment delivery and cost.

Provide administrative guidance to assigned engineers, draft job appraisals, recommend merit increases and promotions, and handle routine personnel functions.

Will assist the project manager or act in lieu of project manager, as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 15 years of experience in varied engineering work with emphasis on initial engineering stages.

Suitable candidates will be familiar with planning and scheduling methods such as CPM and PERT, project accountability, budgeting and the expenditure and financial portions of the project.
Candidates must be willing to work in remote locations within Saudi Arabia and may be required to travel extensively out of Kingdom.
Perform all supervisory duties as established by Management.
