The Company:
Our Client is a global upstream oil and gas company, operating predominately in the areas: the Americas (North America and Colombia), and Asia-Pacific. The Role:
An exciting opportunity arising- Senior Project Legal Associate for a LNG project in PNG, assisting the legal team in projects agreements; project contracts/procurement; project compliance and Joint Venture legal issues and relationship.

Main responsibilities:

- Project Contracts/Procurement
Work closely with the project manager and the supply chain staff to draft project ready contract templates, assist with preparation of tender packages, where necessary review and advise the project team with respect to bid evaluations, negotiate project agreements and oversee their implementation from a legal perspective.

- Regulatory Compliance
Work with the POM staff, operations, HSSE and where required local counsel to compile the regulatory requirements on a legacy basis and ensure ongoing compliance with the regulations.

- Joint Venture Compliance
Work with the project and legal managers, the finance department and the commercial team to ensure that it is compliant with the requirements of the relevant agreements

- Joint Venture Relationships
Work with the joint venture parties’ legal and commercial representatives to create win win solutions to potential disputes and maintain the relationship.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified;
- Minimum 5 years experience in oil/gas projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Attentions to details
- Positive win-win approach

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Ideally PNG experience
