Our client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions the transmission and distribution industry

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager who will manage demolition projects from ‘cradle to grave’ by managing teams of on-stie and office personnel to complete projects with no HSE / quality issues. Successful candidates will be required to manage decommissioning projects from outline strategy to site finishes by interfacing with clients and managing relationships with key interfaces. As a Senior Project Manager you will also be required to actively win new projects by investigating opportunities in the market.

Key Duties include:

• Effectively managing relationships with key interfaces - internal, customers and suppliers
• Effectively leading teams to deliver assignments
• Managing your own personal development
• Be prepared to take responsibility for the personal development and appraisal of team individuals
• Take a lead role in putting commercial bids together for the client
• Complete resource management of the team to manage project activities
• Coach and develop Engineers/Project Managers within the team.
• Develop beneficial relationships with external organisations
• Make contacts and build on existing relationships at a senior level (e.g. Site Manager, Site Engineer Technical Director) in client organisations
• You will also be a likely contact manager who will take full contract performance accountability (WIP, margin etc)
• Understand the competitive position of the team and marketplace and use this to influence tenders
• Identify and support pull through opportunities to other departments within the business
• Seek opportunities to enhance margin performance
• Shape and align the functional offer to best meet customer needs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years experience within demolition industry as Project Manager/Engineer
• Experience of managing multidiscipline teams in petrochemical/pharmaceutical environments
• In depth knowledge of modern demolition techniques and methods
• Degree in one of the following; Science, Chemical Engineering, Mech/Struct Engineering, Physics
• Excellent communication skills and a confident presenter (up to Director level)
• Excellent leadership/development skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Safety Qualification (NEBOSH)
• Experience of Quality, Training and HSE Environments
• Overseas experience
• Profound knowledge of CDM regulations
