The Company:
Our client is a nuclear specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, across the complete lifecycle from New Build, through Operations and Maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste disposal.

The Role:
To manage projects such that the customer's requirements are delivered and our performance and profit margins are met. To meet time, cost and quality requirements. To deliver the project safely.
To manage complex and /or a number of projects at any one time.

Position in organisation :
* Reports directly to Divisional Director/Operations Manager
* Directly supervises project teams, comprising both our personnel and external Contractor resources.
* Communicates effectively with all project stakeholders, especially client representative.
* Accountable for Project Financial Performance
* Develop relationships and further business with Clients.

Key Accountabilities:
* Prepares and approves proposals and specifications
* Launches the project and establishes effective communication routes
* Monitors and controls project costs, resources and programme
* Ensures relevant technical solutions are applied
* Supervises project team to maintain required standards of quality and safety
* Assesses and mitigates project risks.

Delegated and Financial Authority:
* Can initiate and approve expenditure within project budget
* Work is developed from successful reply to an ITT or result of direct request from client
* Work is formally reviewed on a monthly basis by Divisional Director / Operations Manager
* Responsible for formulating project programme and driving project team to comply
* Responsible for relationship with customer, and overall project safety
* Can control projects up to £50M

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10 years' PM experience in highly regulated environment
Knowledge of NEC Contracts / Design and Construction Background
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing, good team working skills, leadership and people management , ability to motivate and influence, ability to work under time pressure
Ability to manage stakeholders inside and outside the business, the ability to think and plan strategically, drive and determination, self-reliance. Good understanding of and ability to contribute to the wider business strategies and vision

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified in an engineering or related subject. Further qualification in project management (either MSc or APM Registered project professional or equivalent
