Our client is an international engineering consultancy with a particular focus on the Middle East O&G Sector.

The Role:
Senior Project Manager (Pipelines)

Responsibilities:

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning, organizing and directing the project's activities;
• Planning, scheduling and organizing all phases of a large project;
• Reviewing engineering and design schedules;
• Monitoring and controlling expenditures;
• Ensuring quality and safety standards and procedures are followed;
• Participating in studies, project definition and technical bid preparation for projects.
• Determining the need for investigation and modifications;
• Participating in the development of long-range plans;
• Establishing project objectives and priorities;
• Ensuring quality and safety standards and procedures are followed;
• Providing expert advice on designs, processes and other project activities.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Making staffing decisions and providing employees with training and development opportunities;
• Proposing and managing department budget and participating in development of unit budget;
• Accountable for quality of work of subordinates, including those who supervise others;
• Being accountable for unit deliverables;
• Making recommendations concerning salary increases, performance evaluations and other Human Resources activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:

• Minimum of 15 - 20 years experience in oil and gas projects essential
• Previous Middle East experience essential
• Extensive experience in the design of cross country pipeline projects.
• Registration as a professional engineer with significant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; In project estimating, progress reporting, project execution strategies, project risk management, financial reporting, team building and workforce management.
• In-depth understanding of project management and knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/ fields;
• Considerable knowledge of the company’s established guidelines, procedures and practices as well as other departments, suppliers and contractors;
• Proficiency in planning and control methods;
• In-depth understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria;
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of standard project management methods and techniques, and
