The Role:
Basic Purpose of Job:
o To ensure that WG Design and Engineering works deliver a quality product that achieves the requirements of the client and complies with national codes and standards.
o To maintain / continually improve the Quality Management System for the project which shall comply with and be certified to ISO9001.
o To ensure that all site inspections are carried out by authorised inspection personnel and all inspection works are completed in accordance to approved inspection plans
Main Duties:
o Ensure that all relevant quality standards, programmes, procedures and specifications are complied and are implemented in accordance with the terms of the contract by internal quality and technical audits. Maintain records of audit and adherence to the integrated annual audit plan.
o Monitor the Performance of contractor(s) providing services to. Verification of the services by ensuring compliance with quality plans and audit schedules.
o Monitor / Measure the effectiveness of the QMS and ensure continual improvement.
o To support all functions in the development of control procedures.
o Assist in the maintenance and documentation of a quality management system in accordance with policy & the contract requirements. Assist in the maintenance of ISO9001 certification.
o Participate in the Audit Schedule and provide periodic progress reports.
o Lead investigation / provide guidance to NC, NCM, CAR and IP processes.
o To support all functions in the development of control procedures.
o Conduct data analysis and reporting on the QMS as necessary.
o Responsibility for ensuring the implementation, operation, reporting, promotion and maintenance of the Contract Quality Management System.
o Assist in the development of QA / QC procedures / processes (all locations).
o Assist in supplier qualification / ongoing assessment of supplier performance as per contract requirements.
o Provide guidance to all functions regarding the application of processes / procedures.
o Direct cross functional teams in performing, quality system investigations and continuous improvement activities.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant degree, Technical or Quality Management or a fully time served apprenticeship with extensive industry experience.
• Internal auditing experience.
• Lead Assessor Qualification.
