The Company:

The Role:
• To act as the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Technical specialist for tendering and associated projects.
• Act as environmental advisor for EPS licensing and associated activities.
• Review and identify QHSE deliverables within client tender documentation.
• Support the business in development of business management system and recommend associated procedures.
• Attend site visits and meetings as required.
• Provide support and undertake risk assessments, risk assessment reviews and pre-change risk assessments for site activities (inc NPI)
• Ensuring the adherence to the relevant UK practices and legislation.
• Monitor incident investigation, identifying root cause and ensure timely close out of preventative and corrective actions on both short term and long term controls. Analyse and present data.
• Liaise with relevant supply chain, develop and maintain relationships.
• Gather and analyse all management system inputs, identify potential objectives and targets and implement associated management programmes.
• To support the management team in the Health Safety and Environmental meetings. To organise meetings, communications and monitor legal compliance.
• Be able to interface with the client and all disciplines whether internal or external companies, suppliers, designers and unitary bodies.
• Follow all designated work flow procedures.
• Must offer flexible approach to work tasks and in accordance with strict tender timescales.
• Required to travel throughout the UK and Scotland.
• Will be prepared to work additional hours as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• NEBOSH Certificate
• IEMA Certificate
• Membership of IOSH and IEMA an advantage but not mandatory.
• Degree Qualified (in Business or Engineering subject) or HNC
• Lead Auditor Qualification will be an advantage.

Essential
• Have proven experience within a similar role in a construction environment.
• Good understanding of a wide range of environmental practices within a construction environment.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Good people skills.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience in Quality Management Systems.
• Experience of gap analysis.
• Experience of writing business procedures in compliance with 9001, 14001 and 18001.
