The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
The Downstream Quality Engineer will:
- Establish the organization capability necessary to support the site QA/QC EPCM Team and construction for a fault free commissioning / start up to meet the stakeholders cost and schedule targets.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, the integrated EPCM Quality Manager and the various site managers. Additionally to recognize deficiencies and support the requirements as may be needed by the EPCM sub contractors.
- Identify areas for improvement within the site structure.
- Review Quality Plans and Inspection test Plans submitted by Contractors using verification documents consistent with Zenator, the completions system.
- Represent QA/QC in kick off meetings describing the ITP, assuring understanding with training if required; facilitate / attend weekly Quality and progress meetings with contractors. Individual will have specific responsibilities to monitor and appraise fabrication and construction work in all areas as designated with applicable discipline to ensure compliance with Project specifications.
- Monitor / Ensure Contractors QA/QC documentation compilation satisfies project specifications and is of sufficient detail to reflect their scope of work.
- Promote safety awareness (IIF) and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel.
- Support the requirements of verifying that Company Engineering specifications have been satisfied in regards to fabrication of the site scope providing for a trouble free fabrication turnover / commissioning /flawless startup. This is inclusive of fabrication documentation requirements per the turnover specification.
- Manage contracts for 3rd party inspection services for all fab sites as required. Arrange for independent Third Party Inspectors when required.
- Supervise Inspectors per criticality of Inspection.
- Contribute to all activities associated with the Operations Assurance process relevant to Commissioning & Start-Up through close liaison with the Operations organization. Assist with, support and participate in any Quality related issues / inspections as required. Contribute / support of the integrated Quality Team.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This role is part of the Integrated Downstream Quality Organization and will require strong leadership, communication, very diverse field and LNG fabrication experience. An understanding of completions and commissioning systems is a key characteristic for a successful project. Demonstrated leadership in fabrication, completions and commissioning is required to support execution and planning of these activities. Candidate shall have a University degree in science or equal, specific QC skill sets (ASNT level II or equal) previous experience in oil and gas LNG fabrication experience, auditing to ISO 9001 qualifications, Ability to trouble shoot and do investigative analysis as required. The ability to train and mentor personnel in the discipline skill set is required.
