The Company:
Our Client’s engineering division, has been a leader in the design of drilling facilities for offshore platforms worldwide for over 30 years. The company’s 700-strong workforce provides a range of engineering services from pre-project and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through detail design, construction support, hook-up and commissioning.

The Role:
Undertake project / contract assignments as directed by the QA/QC Manager.
· Ensure that appropriate project / contract management systems are established and documented within project quality plans, and maintained up-to-date.
· Develop and maintain project / contract specific procedures and associated documentation, as required.
· Ensure all project / contract personnel are aware of the requirements of the project quality plan and implement accordingly.
· Promote awareness, understanding and use of the BMS within assigned projects.
· Develop and maintain an annual audit and review programme for each project / contract assignment; perform internal and external project / contract audits.
· Ensure the timely completion of actions arising from audit findings, customer complaints and other sources, as recorded within corporate action tracking system.
· Review engineering deliverables and participate in equipment criticality assessments
· Provide quality management input to supplier evaluation and selection, including: pre-qualification assessments, tender evaluation, quality appraisals.
· Review supplier documentation including quality plans, inspection and test plans, inspection and test procedures, and manufacturing records.
· Identify the scope and level of material, equipment and fabrication inspection commensurate with the assessed risks, ensuring customer, statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
· Identify inspection resource needs and co-ordinate inspection assignments with selected inspection agency, ensuring the nominated specialist inspector meets the necessary competence requirements.
· Monitor the execution of inspection assignments to ensure all expediting, progress measurement and verification activities are carried out in accordance with the specified requirements, including the control of costs and the quality of reporting.
· Undertake inspection assignments when appropriate and deemed competent.
· Liaise with client’s quality assurance personnel and appointed verification body.
· Produce reports on project / contract quality performance and perform investigations of quality management failures.
